Worldpay is a fast-moving dynamic progressive FinTech company and is a market leader in payments. We seek not only to lead in the market, but be the solutions incubator for the industry. We are looking for a Financial Accounting Lead to be responsible for the team, based in Manchester who look after all accounting with a main focus on Statutory Accounts. The Lead will also deputise for the Head of Financial Accounting.
How will you contribute on a day-to-day basis?
You will manage the statutory team primarily and see through the building of a strong culture of financial control and upskilling in a SOX environment. Emphasis is placed delivering the Statutory Accounts, but as the Lead Accountant, you will also lend leadership to the Capex and GL teams. You will also develop and improve and enhanced Balance Sheet as well as working closely with the dedicated Change and Delivery Team on larger projects supporting legal entity reporting.
What will make you the ideal fit?
Your expertise will be Statutory Accounts and in general you will be both a strong technical accountant and an effective leader - you will have managed teams before. We're looking for someone who can build positive relationships with partners in and outside the business. As to Qualifications - ideally you are ACA or ACCA qualified and have strong experience with IFRS and UK GAAP. US GAAP will be a benefit.
