Senior Support Worker

Hours: Shift patterns will vary, must be flexible - some night and sleep-in shifts

Service/Location: Cornford Lane, Pembury, Kent, TN2 4QU

We're on the lookout for enthusiastic, reliable and resilient Senior Support Worker who would like to join our growing Aspens family, based at our Residential site in Pembury.

You'll need to be a 'people person' who enjoys building relationships and motivating others to reach their full potential. Flexibility, a 'can do' attitude and a sense of humour are a must too! Aside from this, you will need to be able to work independently, as well as part of a team and have experience of working with vulnerable people or those with complex needs.

You will be supporting ladies and gentlemen with physical and learning disabilities. Activities which are enjoyed include: cookery, art, discos, bowling, sailing, horse riding and trampolining. No two days are ever the same for us and we need enthusiastic staff who enjoy supporting individuals with on site and off site activities.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Have a Diploma/NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care
Have Experience with challenging behaviours
Have a good understanding & knowledge of the needs of people with learning difficulties
Have supervisory/management experience
Be highly motivated and be able to work on their own initiative
Be well organised
Have a passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to vulnerable people
Have a full driving licence
Some sleep-in shifts will be a requirement of this role.
