Sessional Lecturer – Art & Design (Contextual)
This role currently sits within our Higher Education provision, specifically the FDA and BA Art and Design programme. The Sessional Lecturer will teach a group or groups of full or part time students on specific or parts of courses.
You should have a good 1st Degree in a relevant Art or Design subject, ideally with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject, preferably History and/or Theory of Art. We’d also like you to have broad knowledge of both historical and current practices in Art and Design and demonstrate a sound understanding of the relationship between practice and theory. This role involves delivering contextual modules alongside studio based teaching, therefore you will be able to support students written work at Level 4 and Level 5, as well as supervising dissertation projects at Level 6.
Experience of teaching in Higher Education would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential.
