We are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager on behalf of a Grounds Maintenance Company that has a wide client base covering both the Private and Public Sector and whose offices are based in the Dorking area.
As the Contracts Manager, you will be joining a well-established and growing national service, taking on responsibility for the overall running of a number of key contracts in Kent and South London . You will be ensuring the current relationship with the Clients is maintained and strengthened to maximise future business potential as well as mentoring, managing and motivating the grounds maintenance team to ensure that they deliver projects on time and to the Clients satisfaction. Your Client base will include Housing Association, Local Authority, Parish Council, Individual Sites and Managing Agents.
Your day to day tasks will include :
Ensuring the contract delivers to plan, budget and profit expectations, preparing monthly contract reports, controlling operations within the approved annual budgets, reviewing forward orders and order completions, reviewing stock and holding management team meetings, chasing for outstanding payments if necessary, ensuring all job costings are correctly coded and overseeing the smooth running of the contract.
As the Contracts Manager you will need :
Strong relationship building skills, a good understanding of grounds maintenance, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent staff management and development experience, recruiting and time management skills and have the ability to work to deadlines whilst delivering excellent client service.
This is a permanent role paying to GBP40,000 which is negotiable depending on experience, plus Company Car or Car Allowance, Laptop, Mobile and Pension Scheme.
