My Client is a Well-Established Ecological Consultancy who concentrate portfolio of projects and work throughout the UK on diverse schemes in a variety of sectors.
Services provided include Protected and other species surveys, Vegetation and habitat surveys, Ecological desk studies and scoping exercises, Ecological Impact Assessments and Habitat management. Other areas include Long-term monitoring of habitats and species, BRE Environmental Assessment Method and Biodiversity Benchmark Assessments.
At this stage, due to an increase in work, they are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join their team in West Midlands.
Role responsibilities as a Senior Ecologist will include the co-ordination and supervision of Field and Assistant Ecologists to ensure projects are performed and delivered to the highest possible standard, Field work including Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species work, contributing to the promotion and development of the company's ecological services and mentoring junior team members.
Senior Ecologist applicants must have a degree in Ecology. Relevant experience of project management in a consultancy environment is essential along with experience of ecological surveying, impact assessment and mitigation.
The Senior Ecologist must hold at least one English Nature licence and possess exceptional identification skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required for the role as is CIEEM Membership.
