What will I be doing?

As a Scheduler / Administrator, you will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for customers’ repairs and maintenance queries. You will ensure front line repairs and maintenance services are delivered effectively and outstanding customer service is provided.

Specifically, you will:

- Act as the first point of contact for customers, contractors and stakeholders
- Plan Operatives’ days to maximise productivity
- Use a variety of scheduling systems and re-arrange works to optimise delivery
- Organise appointments for trades people to carry out jobs in an efficient manner

What do I need?

To be considered as a Scheduler / Administrator, you will need:

- Relevant experience in a similar administrative assistant support role
- Experience of dealing with contractors’ staff, both face-to-face and on the telephone
- Experience of solving problems to meet customers’ expectations within repairs timescales
- Knowledge and an awareness of repair requirements within a social housing environment
- The ability to adapt to changing situations throughout the working day and prioritise emergency repairs
- A good level of education, including strong literacy and numeracy skills

An understanding of Right to Repair legislation and the role of social housing would be beneficial to your application. Experience of working with vulnerable people or people with support needs would also be an advantage, as would experience of using housing, maintenance or customer related database packages as a front end user.

Knowledge of the requirements of the Data Protection Act, an NVQ Level 2 or higher in Customer Services, an ECDL, and/or a CIH or equivalent in Customer or Maintenance Services would also be desirable. The ability to recognise and implement Good Practice within the role to create efficient working practices would be equally favourable.
