Sampling Technician

WHAT COMPANY YOU WILL BE WORKING FOR

We are delighted to be working with a leading food manufacturer, supplying Sampling Technicians to their sites in Billingham. This is a great opportunity to join a highly reputable, global organisation, who are presently experiencing substantial growth.

This temporary role provides technical support to the Fermentation Operations Team to facilitate rapid process improvement during the optimisation phase of the plant start-up.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?

• To take regular process samples from the plant at the agreed location/frequency.
• To use moisture measurement equipment to determine the solids content of the samples.
• To record the centrifuge operating parameters at the point when the process samples are taken.
• To record results in Statistical Process Control (SPC) control charts.
• To communicate the results to the Fermentation Operations Team, enabling them to take the appropriate corrective action to ensure consistent quality of paste to the BF1 process

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?

• Willing to work 12-hour shift pattern
• Team player - initiating and maintaining effective working relationships with shift fermenter operations team
• Accurate Reporting of Observations - critical evaluation of observations and data.
• Good communication skills - written and verbal
• Ability to draw conclusions and actions from results
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible
• IT competent (Microsoft Office)

WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLE?

• Hours are 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am
• Rotation is TBC
• Will include weekend working

WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVING

This role is paying GBP8.21 - GBP10.95per hour.
