‘My name is Michael, I am currently in hospital in Taunton, I am moving back to Cornwall to be with my family in Truro. I am buying my own home in the Truro area and I am looking for a team that can support me for when I move. As with every house purchase this may take some time, but I am hoping to be living in my new home by November 2019, so would like to start thinking about what I would like from a support team. Havencare are going to support me interview a team based on information of what I would like to help build a team. I would like my team to start building a relationship with me a couple of weeks before I move. I have many professionals and a very supportive family around me that will help with all the training you will need to have the right knowledge to support me.
I am looking for support staff who like to be active, enjoy sports and can drive.
I would like staff that are experienced, consistent and resilient - I am a very lovely person to be around and I guarantee I will put a smile on your face, however sometimes when I become anxious I can behave in a way that pushes people away- but with great support from you I will be back to putting that smile on your face .’
