The Institute for Research in Schools is a UK charity that facilitates students in schools to participate in cutting edge, university level research while still in school. We impact on both students and teachers, engaging more young people in the excitement of STEM and opening up the world of STEM careers.
After a period of rapid growth we are now looking to recruit an outstanding Communications Manager to focus and harness our multiple communications channels, developing a strategy to support our activity with schools and stakeholders.
The role is mainly home based working closely with the Director who is based in Cornwall. The role will also require travel for monthly team meetings and potential attendance at events across the UK including in London. The working week is 37.5 hours Monday to Friday with flexibility available subject to deadlines and events.
The successful applicant will have a strong background in communications and a demonstrable track record of success in this area. A knowledge of the UK education system would be beneficial but is not essential.
Applicants will need to hold a valid driving licence, shortlisted applicants will also need to provide evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
