Senior Executive Officer

£37,987 per annum + 25 days Annual leave + Pension Scheme
The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK within the statutory framework of various EC Directives and Regulations, and the Veterinary Medicines Regulations.
The UK government has released the refreshed five-year Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) National Action Plan (NAP). We are looking for someone to take on the challenge of driving through the implementation of Defra’s AMR commitments in the NAP. Ideally with a policy background, this role will require effective project and programme management skills.
A degree in a biological or agricultural related science discipline, or equivalent scientific experience or strong communication related experience is desirable as is formally recognized project management approach (e.g. Prince 2)
