  • Support development and delivery of Aon's global strategy as it relates to AUM.
  • Develop, gain agreement to and implement strategic plans and annual budgets for the AUM business, which are consistent with Aon UK Limited's targets and expectations for revenue and margin growth.
  • Monitor the on-going performance (financial, operational, risk) of the AUM. Target and drive consistent and sustainable improvements in employee engagement. business against plans
  • Set the tone from the top and embed the culture within AUM. Ensure colleagues work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and in compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies. Ensure risks are managed that may adversely affect the business or reputation of any Group Company.
  • Manage direct reports and lead colleagues, ensuring their objectives are aligned with the overall AUM strategy. Ensure, where responsible, performance is satisfactory and that they are taking the necessary action continually to develop.
  • Ensure a robust governance framework to assess and manage risks is in place within AUM.
  • Ensure conflicts of interest are managed and there is a clear separation of the development and execution of AUM underwriting strategy and execution from the activity of Aon's broking businesses.
  • Identify, prioritise and develop new products, propositions or channels to drive profitable growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of leading a regulated business, with budgetary and P&L responsibility.
  • Strategic business development skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in the insurance industry and specifically the role of an MGA.
  • Excellent delegator and manager of professional staff.
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills of the highest order.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with a broad range of clients, channels stakeholders and external bodies.
  • Significant general management experience in a leadership role in insurance or an FCA regulated industry.
