Junior Accounts Assistant
Salary: Competitive dependant on experience

Location: Harrow, HA1
Our client has been established in Harrow-on-the-Hill for over 30 years and have been providing accounting, audit and taxation services for small and medium sized businesses in the locality and beyond.
They provide an extensive range of accounting, auditing and taxation services, including bookkeeping, payroll, personal taxation and the preparation and submission of company accounts.
Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Junior Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable, successful and well-established company.
Duties Include:
Analyse and process invoices, payments and receipts
Determine appropriate VAT treatment of invoices and Vat Return Completion
Perform monthly Bank and creditor reconciliations
Follow-up with clients on queries
Raise accruals to ensure that expenses are recorded in the appropriate financial periods
Assist with Preparation of Personal Tax Returns and Audit
Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business
The Ideal Candidate:
Must have strong administration and organisational skills (Excel, Word, Outlook included)
Able to work autonomously and handle confidential information appropriately
Be proficient in Sage Line 50
Accuracy is essential, together with the ability to plan and manage tasks in order to meet reporting deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to quickly learn new software applications
Excellent written communication skills
