This Sheffield-based group of companies offers a complete range of electrical and engineering services, including electrical and control instrumentation design, manufacture, installation project management, training and provision of PLC control systems / SCADA systems / MES systems / Systems integration / Software Development, Product Sales, Service & Support.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director the Accountant will be responsible for the day to day running of the accounts department. Duties to include:

+ Purchase Ledger
+ Sales Ledger (including Invoicing, Credit Control, etc)
+ Project Reporting
+ Regulatory side of business (VAT, HMRC requirements, etc.).

We utilise SAGE Multi-Company and the successful candidate should have a detailed knowledge and experience of SAGE together with XCEL experience for reporting.

The candidate will take responsibility for managing and delivering all aspects of management accounting and analysis for Five companies and consolidating these accounts at group level into a reporting pack for the board. You will manage cash flows, which will include liaising closely with Project Managers non finance stakeholders/Project/Account Managers to review ongoing projects and extrapolate this data into short- and long-term cash flow forecasts

The ideal candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

+ Solid management accounting with relevant experience in a project-driven environment, particularly regarding revenue and cost recognition
+ Good attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve accounting issues as and when they arise
