What it's like to work here

Christmas is an exciting time to work at the celebrated Edwardian retreat of Polesden Lacey. This year our Christmas offer in the house will be taken to new heights with an artist collaboration as part of our 'All that Glitters' offer bringing sparkle to our fabulous showrooms alongside our beautiful floral displays and many Christmas trees. It's the perfect place to get into the Christmas spirit.

The property boasts glorious views of the surrounding Surrey Hills, as well as an impressive art collection, manicured gardens and a large National Trust shop. Colleagues have a great team spirit with close links to the local community. The picturesque property is just four miles outside Dorking, however you're likely to need your own transport to get there.

What you'll be doing

Visitors are a vital part of what we do. As a Visitor Welcome Assistant it's your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day.

This role will be based in the house ensuring that our visitors have a wonderful visit. You'll be responsible for welcoming visitors to the house, answering queries and helping to manage the visitor flow at a very busy time. You'll be expected to work either Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday in the run up to Christmas (from 15 November) and then some additional days in the weeks just before and after Christmas itself, including Boxing Day. Please note the property is closed on 24 and 25 December.
