Engineer - Night Shift
We are looking for a multi skilled Engineer to join our team to work as part of a team of Engineers providing maintenance support for our busy 24/7 food production factory.
We currently have vacancies on our Night team, so you will be working 19.00 - 07.00. You will be working a "4 on, 4 off" pattern, so you will work for four consecutive nights and then get four days off in a row!
This is very much a hands-on position, servicing and fixing our machinery as efficiently as possible to ensure minimal downtime for our busy production team.
Your key responsibilities as a Multi Skilled Engineer will be:-
* Responsible for the safety, maintenance and efficiency of all pieces of equipment held on site
* Responsible for all maintenance checks
* Maintaining and servicing all machinery; including mechanical and electrical aspects.
* Installing and commissioning equipment and machinery electrically, pneumatically and mechanically
* Troubleshooting faults with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a wide variety of situations
* Sourcing and re-working of parts for CNC machines, lathes, grinder, skin packaging and cutters
* Carrying out other property / facilities / maintenance duties as required; including: monitoring, setting and maintenance of the heating, water and lighting systems
* General building maintenance (changing light bulbs, emergency light testing, basic plumbing etc..)
The ideal Multi Skilled Engineer will have:
* A good standard of both verbal and written English
* At least 2 years' experience working as an Engineer
* Ability to communicate with members of the Higgidy team at various levels
* Ability to prioritise workload
