Selwyn College wishes to appoint an Accommodation Officer to be based in the College Bursary.

Accommodation Officer
Salary:
£25,181 p.a. for a 35-hour week.
Hours: 35 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks).
Contract Type: Permanent, subject to six months’ probation.
Based: Cambridge

The post holder is expected to be the first point of contact for all matters relating to student bedrooms. A key responsibility of the job is to ensure the Rooms Database is kept accurately up to date at all times and that charges are raised for all occupancy, in accordance with the College’s agreed schedule of prices. The College will be looking to the post holder to play an important part in allocating the rooms in the most appropriate and efficient manner so as to maximise their usage throughout the year.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have good problem-solving skills and are numerate and fluent in English. Proficiency in MS Excel is important. The role requires a high degree of organisation and attention to detail. To be successful in the role the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with students, Fellows, other staff and the many visitors to the College is essential.
