Production Engineer
Salary cGBP35k
Based Eastbourne, East Sussex
A Production Engineer is required for a busy engineering company based in Eastbourne. You will be responsible for understanding, incorporating and managing clients technical requirements into company wide data by means of Engineering, Product Data Management (PDM), Bill of Materials (BoM's) and drawing / information management. Within this role you will also take an active involvement in driving continuous improvement.
Candidates will be a qualified mechanical engineer (HNC or Degree) with experience gained within a similar role. You will have a sound engineering background gained within a manufacturing environment. This experience will ideally have been gained with a special purpose equipment manufacturing environment. Experience of rotating mechanical equipment would be highly beneficial. Your experience will include taking customer orders and converting this into clear and coherent engineering data and documentation. This will include generating and configuring BoM's for new orders, highlight risks associated, understand gaps and manage the activities to ensure designs are engineered correctly.
You will proven experience of driving and implementing Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
