Volunteer Coordinator
We are very excited to be recruiting for a very special charity based between Woking/Weybridge who are looking for a volunteer coordinator to join their team. In this role you would be an integral part of the event team, helping to source and recruit volunteers for major events.
As a natural and empathetic communicator, you would be building relationships with individuals, groups and companies sharing the passion you have for the charity and inspiriting others to support them.
The charity run several events across the year and you would be responsible for the following:
• Managing adverts and promotions at volunteer centres, universities and many other organisations
• Managing high volume outgoing calls as well as responding to queries from new and existing volunteers
• Contacting organisations and companies who may be interested in incorporating details of the charity into their corporate social responsibility
• Looking at new ways to attract volunteers and supporting volunteer enrolment process
• Carrying out checks on individuals and ensuring paperwork is compliant
• Supporting deployment of volunteers at the events
• Lots of administration - following compliance and GDPR
• Working towards team goals and targets
• Working with Excel - pivot tables, Vlook ups - you will need to be fully conversant with Excel
The right person for this role will have strong administration skills, thorough, methodical and accurate. You will be a strong multi-tasker with the ability to collaborate well across a busy team. You will be resourceful and assertive in your approach.
As you will be dealing with volunteers/supporters it is essential that you have strong customer service skills together with strong empathy,

Hours of work - 37.5 hours per week - 7.5 hours a day between 8am and 6.30pm. Weekend work will be expected during event time and extra hours during build up to events, but time off in lieu will be given
