Our client is the UK's first tenant and employee co-owned mutual housing society, with 13,000 homes throughout the local area.
They're proud of their pioneering governance model, which puts their tenant and employee members at the heart of decision-making.
They're looking for a Governance Manager to help them to continue develop their model to make sure that they deliver for their members, tenants, and employees - and the communities they serve. Could it be you?
As their Governance Manager, you'll work closely with their elected Representative Body, their Board, and their Executive Management Team to ensure that their governance and decision-making processes both fulfil their regulatory requirements and operate within the spirit of their mutuality.
You'll be responsible for a range of duties to the Group structure. You'll provide high quality support to their Board, their Representative Body, and their subsidiaries - including preparing for meetings under the direction of the Secretary and the Governance and Legal Team Manager. You'll also take the lead on the delivery of their annual Representative Body elections for both tenants and employees.
The successful candidate will have experience, knowledge and an understanding of compliance with governance arrangements as well as of mutual membership based organisations. You will be a team player with a great attitude to working under pressure and meeting deadlines. You will also have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and experience of minute taking at a senior level. Experience of working within social housing would be ideal.
