Job Title: Facilities Management Team Leader
Locations: Brockley
Working hours: Mon to Fri - 37.5 hrs per week - Permanent
Pay rate: 20k to 25K
Purpose of Role
You will be responsible for leading a small team of cleaners with also some responsibility for the depot duties. The purpose of this role is to assist with the day to day supervision of staff and resources, ensuring first class estate services are delivered across region. This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will be expected to cover in cases of absence and sickness and deliver estate improvements plans/added value activities.
Duties
* Ensure the smooth running of the estate service provision.
* To ensure that excellent customer service standards are achieved, and core business objectives and performance indicators are met.
* To support and supervise the estate services team ensuring all schedules are met and any deviations are recorded and escalated to management
* To ensure adequate stock levels of equipment and materials are available for the efficient running of the business and re-ordering supplies as necessary
* Motivate and manage staff effectively, monitor staff productivity and performance, taking appropriate action when necessary.
* Carrying out quality checks and inspections in communal areas for both grounds' maintenance and estate cleaning.
* Other ad hoc requirements as per the cleaning schedule.
* Be the point of contact in the Contract Managers absence.
* To ensure all supporting paperwork/documentation is completed, collated and readily available for Contract Manager
* Deliver training where appropriate to do so
* Ensure all work is delivered safely and is undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety best practice
Skills Required
* Experience of staff supervision
* Resilience under pressure
* Ability to work to laid down schedules.
* Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
* Previous experience of cleaning services desirable but not essential.
* Knowledge of the use of chemicals (COSHH) and Health and Safety legislation is desirable but not essential.
* Previous experience of cleaning services and use of cleaning equipment is desirable but not essential
