Swimming Pool Manager, Leisure Centre Manager Derby GBPneg
We are looking for an experienced Swimming Pool Manager / Leisure Centre Manager with swimming pool or leisure centre experience who can take over the management of the safe and effective operation of the swimming pools on a day to day basis.
You will be liaising with the Directors and reporting to the Board via the Managing Director.
So as the Swimming Pool Manager what will you be doing ?
This includes the maintenance of the pool water and environment to the agreed standards, security arrangements and staffing.
Organisation of the timetables for use of pool time, marketing available time to maximise the economic use of the pool commensurate with the requirements of other users, particularly existing users as at the end of the University ownership. Liaise with users ensuring that they are delighted with the service that they receive.
Organisation of employed and volunteer staff including Lifeguards, Swimming Teachers and support staff ensuring they are qualified and competent. Maintain training records for all staff and provide update training as required to maintain certification and efficiency.
Organising recruitment and training of existing and new staff
Maintaining RLSS accreditation for training and certification of lifeguards and Swim England arrangements for training swimming teachers.
Working to agreed budgets, maximising income and minimising costs and developing new uses for the pool facilities and expand the existing uses as far as is possible.
Supporting the Directors and project team in the development of a new community run Leisure Centre
Taking responsibility for the Finance Team.
Ensuring that receipts and expenditure is accounted for for and receipts are banked in a timely way.
This is a varied full time role with hours to be agreed (some evening and weekend work would be expected)
This may suit a lifeguard supervisor or swimming teacher who wishes to take on more responsibility
