Description

Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as part of a dynamic specialist Transactional Procurement team within Arden and GEM Commissioning Support Service (AGCSU) to provide administrative and project support to the Senior Procurement Manager and team.

To Support the Senior Procurement Manager in the delivery of the annual work plan ensuring performance to key milestones and agreed key performance indicators are achieved. To support the delivery of a strategic Transactional Procurement service for customers within an area, supporting on specific projects within a portfolio of projects/programmes that delivers high value, improved patient care and cost efficiency savings across the AGCSU customer base. Buyer to develop and maintain a coordinated approach towards procurement and contract management for Arden and GEM CSU and 28 CCGs, seeking value for money, relationship and performance management of suppliers and offering advice on all of the CSU/CCG transactional purchasing and contract activity.

Profile

1 years' experience in Purchasing or Procurement environment

Understanding of procurement processes

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Skills for communication on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills

Good keyboard skills

Excel and Word

Good telephone manner

Strong organisational skills

Ability to prioritise workload

Ability to understand and work to deadlines

Ability to pull together comprehensive draft reports, data and letters
