Our client, a highly respected Public Sector establishment, require a Programme Support Officer Practitioner initially for six months with the potential to extend up to 23 months. Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. The position will be based in Glasgow but travel may be required to sites in Edinburgh and Dundee. Rate of pay will be GBP114.45 per day.
A minimum Basic Disclosure issued within the last 12 months is a requirement for these positions.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Help ensure all operations and products of the Risk, Issue, and Planning & Change Control Function are delivered to the expected standard in terms of quality and efficiency (e.g. Planning Reporting Process & Reports into the Programme Delivery Board)
Help to maintain the various Programme Management Strategies owned by the team ensuring their alignment to Programme requirements as it moves through its lifecycle
Help to maintain the Programme Level Management Tools the team are responsible for (Programme Risk Register, Programme Plan, and Change Control Log) and creating associated reports to stakeholders across the Programme
Developing a strong understanding of the Programme Risk and Issue management arrangements, Planning arrangements and Change Control arrangements and helping ensure they are continually communicated and adhered to across the Programme
Building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues across the Programme and leveraging these relationships to achieve the goals of the team
Gain an understanding of the wider Programme, its aims, strategies and progress towards delivering these to ensure you consider the bigger picture when conducting role specific dutiesKey Skills and Requirements:
Strong Stakeholder management skills
Experience of identifying, sourcing and analysing information to produce concise, well-structured and accurate written and numeric work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to build good professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Experience in delivering quality work in a busy and fast based Programme and/or Project Management environment
Ability to manage time and priorities ensuring that project/process deadlines are met
