Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) is the UK’s first tenant and employee co-owned mutual housing society, with 13,000 homes throughout the local area.

We’re proud of our pioneering governance model, which puts our tenant and employee members at the heart of decision-making here at RBH.

We’re looking for a Governance Manager to help us to continue develop our model to make sure that we deliver for our members, tenants, and employees – and the communities we serve. Could it be you?

As our Governance Manager, you’ll work closely with our elected Representative Body, our Board, and our Executive Management Team to ensure that our governance and decision-making processes both fulfil our regulatory requirements and operate within the spirit of our mutuality.

You’ll be responsible for a range of duties to the RBH Group structure. You’ll provide high quality support to our Board, our Representative Body, and our subsidiaries – including preparing for meetings under the direction of the Secretary and the Governance and Legal Team Manager. You’ll also take the lead on the delivery of our annual Representative Body elections for both tenants and employees.

The successful candidate will have experience, knowledge and an understanding of compliance with governance arrangements as well as of mutual membership  based organisations. You will be a team player with a great attitude to working under pressure and meeting deadlines. You will also have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and experience of minute taking at a senior level. Experience of working within social housing would be ideal.

A career at RBH is more than just a job – and this role puts you right at the heart of our mutual. We’d love to hear from you!

Further details are outlined in the job profile, which is available to download in the documents section above this advert.
