About Us

The Prince of Wales Hospice is an incredible provider of healthcare services for people with life-limiting illnesses. From our 13 bed ward for those who need round-the-clock care, to our outreach and day therapy services, we care for nearly 300 people every year, helping them to manage their illnesses.

We also boast a network of shops to help us engage with our local community. Following a review of our Shops and Retail team, we have a number of exciting opportunities and are now seeking Shop Supervisors to join us and assist in the management and day-to-day running of a number of shops across the Pontefract area.

Your Role

As a Shop Supervisor, you will be tasked with supporting the day-to-day running of our shops across the Pontefract area and assisting with the delivery and collection service.

Specifically, you will:

- Work within the shop team to maximise sales and collection targets
- Ensure income targets are achieved
- Manage stock
- Implement seasonal promotions
- Get involved with the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers

About You

To be considered as a Shop Supervisor, you will need:

- Experience gained within a shop
- Charity sector and/or volunteer retail experience
- Experience of supervising a retail store/unit
- Experience in working with volunteers
- An understanding of current, relevant retail legislation
- Excellent display and merchandising and stock management skills
- Well developed supervisory and motivational skills
- Excellent customer services skills

This role is available at various locations across the Pontefract area and for various working hours from six hour per week up to 30 hours per week across various days including weekends. Further details will be made available upon application.
