An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hotel Manager to be a key part of a new build, 10-bedroom boutique hotel opening in January 2020. This is a unique role managing the accommodation aspects of the site initially as the venue/function aspects of the site are managed separately. You will be the first to join a growing team and will play a major part in the recruitment and selection, and the initial set up of the hotels procedures and functions. The role will commence in October in order to be fully prepared in advance of the January 2020 opening.
The Role
* To manage the day to day operations of the hotel
* Induct and deliver training to the team
* Maximise all revenue opportunities
* Ensure all health and safety is adhered to
* Manage the Housekeeping contract.
* Take ownership to resolve any problems plus empowering the team to do the same.
* Reviewing customer feedback and insight reports to create action plans that will improve the customer experience.
* Be proactive in acting on any potential issues that may arise
* Ensure the Maintenance of the hotel is fully safe and up to date
The Candidate
* Have previous experience within Hotel Management
* Have experience of leading & working with staff in Hospitality.
* To be flexible, working alone and as part of a team.
* An understanding of hotel booking systems
* Able to remain calm under stress and encourage/motivate the team
* PC literate (ideally familiar with using Excel, Google Drive, email and Word, ideally hotel booking software or similar, with stock control & ordering experience.
* First Aid Trained - Preferred, Not compulsory
Salary & Benefits
* Up to GBP27,000 dependent on experience
* 09:00 - 17:00 (although some flexibility will be required)
