We are now looking for a Transport Controller to join our hard-working team and support operations at sites in Eastham.

The Role

As a Transport Controller, you’ll monitor and manage the day-to-day vehicle and driver operations at sites in Eastham. 

In this varied role, you will:

- Co-ordinate vehicles, trailers and their movements
- Liaise with the Customer Service Team to ensure that deliveries are made on time
- Operate weighbridge systems and ensure a safe loading system is maintained
- Maintain spreadsheets and re-plan customer schedules, including making ferry bookings 
- Report any safety or on-site customer issues

About You

To join us as a Transport Controller, you will need: 

- Strong administration skills 
- A strong focus on customer service 
- Knowledge of standard IT systems, including MS Office
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy 

Experience of vehicle scheduling systems would be beneficial, but this is not essential as full training will be provided. Previous transport experience would also be an advantage.

This is a full time role, working a shift pattern of 2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 days off (working 6:00 – 18:00/18:00 – 6:00).
