It is an exciting time to join Golden Lane Housing as we continue to build relationships and deliver an excellent service to our internal and external customers. We are looking for a Compliance Officer to cover the South region covering Milton Keynes, Oxford and Reading . This will be a home based role with travel between sites.

You will be responsible for the service contracts for compliance of Repairs and Maintenance. This includes gas, electric, fire, asbestos, as well as ensuring all servicing and legal requirements are adhered to. You will also support our growth targets by providing support and specialist knowledge to acquire and develop new services.

You will work closely with the Maintenance and Compliance Manager, the other Compliance Officer and internal stakeholders to ensure that all GLH properties are maintained to a high standard. It is important that you split your time working in the office and out in the field inspecting properties and providing a technical maintenance resource. You will manage your own Compliance Assistant who will support you with admin, diary management, system updates and customer calls.

We need someone who can hit the ground running and has strong experience of working in a similar environment. This role is extremely varied so requires an individual that can multi-task, prioritise, take direction and work on their own initiative.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience required:

* Ability to prepare and interpret numerical data and explain to others

* Building surveying and inspection/Technical building and maintenance/Construction/ Contract procurement and competitive tender

* Excellent communication skills

* Recognised professional qualifications

* Ability to write clear, concise letters and reports
