South Thames College is looking for a Lecturer in Beauty Therapy to be responsible for the delivery and development of the curriculum with particular responsibility for a mixed age range group of students.

Teaching for up to 14.4 hours a week and partaking in the development of the curriculum in Beauty Therapy/Media Make Up, you will prepare learning materials for use in the classroom, use a range of teaching and learning strategies appropriate to the needs of the students and plan and update schemes of work and session planners.

Preparing structured assessments and using a range of assessment methods in line with awarding body requirement and appropriate to the needs of the students on the programme, you will review and adapt teaching materials, arrange individual and group tutorial sessions and take part in the annual review and evaluation of curriculum content and delivery.

With energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, you will have a successful track record teaching Beauty/Media Make-Up specialism to students from a wide-range of backgrounds.

Qualified to level 3 or above in Beauty Therapy/Media Make-Up and level 2 in Hairdressing, you will be a qualified A1 Assessor with recent experience of delivering Beauty Therapy / Media Make up 2-3 and of teaching in a further education institution.

You’ll also have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills and an awareness of academic quality standards.
