Job description

STMB is seeking a Management Consultant to join its London office.

Key responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • carrying out research and gathering data to understand viability of new project or current state of established business;
  • conducting internal interviews at established businesses, studying financial plans, and identifying problems and inefficiencies;
  • analysing the market/industry for new projects, conducting competitive analysis, and creating business plan and financial projections;
  • identifying operational, financial, and managerial issues within the business and formulating recommendations for improvement;
  • managing projects and programmes, and leading those within the team;
  • compiling and presenting information orally, visually, and in writing;
  • preparing business proposals and presentations; and
  • developing and implementing new procedures and execution plans.

Qualifications, skills and experience

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, finance or economics with consistent outstanding academic record;
  • at least four years’ relevant experience as a consultant, either internal or external;
  • at least five years’ relevant experience in managing teams;
  • fluency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint;
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills;
  • ability to work with pressure and challenges;
  • ability to work collaboratively in teams;
  • strong leadership skills; and
  • entrepreneurial and results driven.

The successful candidate will preferably also possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • an advanced graduate degree (eg MBA, PhD); and
  • relevant entrepreneurial experience.
