Summary 

Beat are currently recruiting for a Services Support Officer to join us. This is a new full time role created to support our Helpline team in answering the increase in contacts across all channels which include telephone, webchat, email, online peer support groups and support through social media.

Beat are always developing and introducing new services and are soon to be launching a pilot to provide a self-help service to those with binge eating disorders, a self-referral telephone helpline and are also exploring and planning international collaboration with other world-wide eating disorder charities.

Description 

Beat is looking for a Services Support Officer to support the team in responding to the increasing demand from those affected by eating disorders. Officers will work closely alongside the Sessional Advisors based from home, digital helpline volunteers and also Helpline Team Leaders and Advisors.

The role is likely to be busy and varied and each shift will involve responding to contacts across Beat’s different support channels including telephone, webchat and facilitating daily online peer support groups. 

The Services Support Officer will also provide administration support for Beat’s peer support programme, Echo. This will include promoting the service, monitoring inboxes and co-ordinating weekly calls between volunteers and service users.
