Our client is an established multidisciplinary consultancy who work on a variety of projects for clients throughout the UK. They are now looking for an Ecologist to work out of their office in Dorset.
The successful Ecologist will be responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of Field and Assistant Ecologists to ensure projects are performed and delivered to the highest possible standard. There will also be a large element of field work involved with the role including Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species work. Other duties will involve contributing to the promotion and development of the company's ecological services and mentoring junior team members.
The Ecologist must have a degree in Ecology. Relevant experience of project management in a consultancy environment is essential along with experience of ecological surveying, impact assessment and mitigation. Applicants must hold at least one English Nature licence and possess exceptional identification skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required for the role as is IEEM Membership.
