An exciting position has arisen within my clients thriving Residential Conveyancing Department for an in-house Conveyancing Locum with 5 years + conveyancing experience to join our Conveyancing Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate wanting to support the Conveyancing teams at each office. This role would be based at the Head office in Sheffield.

Role Summary:

Given the responsibility and level of this role, candidates should have good Residential Conveyancing experience ideally gained at a reputable law firm and be able to demonstrate the running of a varied caseload of conveyancing work.

Daily duties will involve:

Covering the Conveyancing Fee Earners case load during annual leave and absence as well assisting and supporting the teams generally to achieve the departments overall objectives
Working in a fast paced yet friendly and supportive atmosphere, the successful candidate will need to be a self-starter who would want to 'go the extra mile' in assisting our teams and clients to achieve their objectives
Experience of handling large volumes of Residential Conveyancing matters is essential and will be done so with the support of team members.

Candidates will have excellent client care and organisation skills, an eye for detail and the ability to proactively deal with client matters, telephone calls and communications. Knowledge of working with document and case management systems is desirable.

Desirable key skills and experiences:

Experience of managing a heavy residential conveyancing case load.
Ability to draft legal documents and correspondence.
Ability to manage and organise large volumes of documents.
Confident in use of email and other systems in daily work.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Knowledge of accounting, document management software and BigHand digital dictation.

Department and Team:

The Residential Conveyancing Department presently consists of 16 Teams who deal with the full range Residential Conveyancing services across 5 offices to commercial and individual clients.
