Leading the delivery of maintenance services within the business to achieve optimal facility performance. The role will include managing a small team and delivering high quality maintenance services across the business.

Description
Prepare, manage and implement a planned hospital maintenance program
Perform regular and routine equipment and facility tests to meet compliance
Track facility service requirements and organise appropriate service contracts
Prepare and submit maintenance reports as required
To ensure breakdowns/disruptions to services are effectively dealt with
Fix, or arrange to be fixed, departmental maintenance requests e.g. plumbing
Tender for works and obtain quotations for local facility required works
Organise tradesmen and external contractors to perform agreed works
Manage contractors on site to ensure security and health & safety compliance
Communicate planned maintenance works to hospital HoD's and staff
To perform weekly fire alarm tests and participate in fire drill scenario plans
Maintain and manage medical gases in accordance with statutory requirements
Member of the hospital(s) Health and Safety committee
Maintain accurate and organised paper and electronic maintenance records
Provide an on-call service to ensure hospital facilities are maintained
Measurable Outcomes:
Planned maintenance programme in place
Maintenance records and paperwork evidenced - system adopted
Audits performed and evidenced
Facility tests and audits performed to agreed timetable and standards
Service contracts in place and service levels delivered
Hospital facilities downtime minimised
Tenders, quotations, purchase orders in accordance with policy
Fire tests and drills performed
Communications regarding planned maintenance evidenced
Profile
Excellent IT skills and familiar with building management systems
Qualification in relevant building management, engineering or facility services
Healthcare, or similar facilities maintenance experience
Core tradesman skills ideally in electrical, plumbing and/or heating services
Multi-site facilities management
Job Offer
This role is being offered on a permanent basis paying a salary of GBP35,000 - Negotiable
