Salary: £8,931 per annum

Location: Exeter City Centre

Hours: 37 hours per week - these hours will be worked on shift patterns across 5 days

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 1 year

An apprenticeship vacancy for a Level 2 Fitness Instructor has arisen in our onsite college gym and fitness facility: Central Fitness.

The apprentice will assist in preparing all areas of the gym, sport and fitness facilities for use by students and staff. As part of the role the apprentice will be required to oversee facility users, ensure that the facilities (including our brand new state of the art sports hall) are kept clean and safe and assist with the opening and securing of the premises on a daily basis. The apprentice will be required to carry out initial fitness assessments, provide safe instruction on the use of gym equipment, and assist in the running of fitness sessions along with any administration duties to ensure the effective day to day operation of the gym and fitness facilities.

Apprenticeship placements are an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to broaden their experience in a work related environment whilst also learning and gaining a qualification at the same time.

The candidate would receive required training and assessment so they are able to progress into further employment with the Active Leisure Industry and find employment within sport and fitness centres. We are looking to recruit a proactive and confident individual with a genuine interest in working at a gym in a health and fitness environment.
