Part Time Employee Engagement Officer
Permanent contract - 24 hours per week, worked over 3 days (Monday to Friday)

We currently have an exciting vacancy for an Employee Engagement Officer to join our busy HR team. Working closely with the HR and Marketing teams, the Employee Engagement Officer will co-ordinate the employee engagement plan, organising events and communications to celebrate our people as well as managing any employee engagement surveys or focus groups.
Key responsibilities for this Employee Engagement Officer role:
* Working collaboratively across HR and Marketing to ensure that all employee engagement communications, content and channels, are effective and create an impact.
* Co-ordinate and plan individual health, wealth & happiness initiatives bringing key stakeholders and interested parties from across the zoo together.
* Take responsibility for the production of relevant copy for any employee engagement activity and people content, working to agreed timescales and content guidelines.
* Plan and conduct people interviews for use on our careers website including preparing scripts and filming and/or hosting videographers.
* Management of day-to-day internal requests for people images and information.
* Setting up photo opportunities to keep our people content vibrant.
* Supporting with any employee engagement activity which may include employee surveys, focus groups etc.
The successful candidate for this Employee Engagement Officer role will:
* Experience working within HR, specifically with an employee engagement focus.
* Be a skilled copywriter, with experience of writing articles for newsletters and drafting media releases.
* Understand the principles of good communication, specifically internal communication.
* Be capable of working both from the office and out in the zoo.
* Have experience in professional use of social media.
* Experience of working with SharePoint/employee communications tools and photography/filming skills would be an advantage.
* Some experience of working within Marketing, PR and internal communications may be advantageous.
Hours of work are 24 hours per week, worked over 3 days from Monday to Friday.
The salary for working 24 hours per week is GBP15,559.93 per annum and in addition we offer a range of amazing benefits which can be found on the Chester Zoo careers page.
