We have the following vacancy based in Hull:
Universal Support Workers (Training provided in benefits advice – up to 3 FTE posts)
Based in our Hull office (and will be required to work at outreaches across Hull and the East Riding).
37 hours (full time) or 18.5 hours (part time) per week – (These posts are funded to 31 March 2020 in the first instance but may be extended subject to funding)
Salary: £21,762 (raising to £23,097 upon completion of training and reaching agreed competencies)
Based within the Hull office the post holders will give advice and support to Universal Credit claimants in accordance with the new “Help to Claim” service model devised by national Citizens Advice.
The post holder will have good interpersonal skills and demonstrable customer care skills.
You will have experience of using telephony and / or IT systems to deliver services across multiple channels including face to face, webchat and / or telephone.
This includes completing required monitoring for Citizens Advice against project KPIs and assisting with the establishing, maintaining and developing of local partnerships.
You will have the ability to work both independently with minimum supervision, and as part of a team and to be confident using a wide range of IT systems.
The post holders should ideally have knowledge of the current law and policy in relation to benefits although training will be provided.
We are willing to consider splitting the full time hours to share the post between more than one worker where this meets the requirements of the service.
