Onward Homes is one of the largest registered providers of social housing in the North West, with 35,000 properties across the region.

Our in-house repairs team aims to deliver a high quality service that is convenient for our customers and keeps our homes safe and in excellent condition. We complete day to day repairs to customers’ homes and also empty properties to bring them up to the required Onward standard. We also service and repair gas boilers throughout the Lancashire region.

We are looking for a Gas Team Leader (1 post) to join our Repairs team in Lancashire.

Reporting to the Mechanical and Electrical Compliance Manager the successful candidate will manage the delivery of Gas related activities to ensure successful completion of the works within constraints of budgets, deadlines, quality and health & safety. Ensuring this matches our goal of placing customers at the heart of our service , including providing supervisory support and leadership to Colleagues.

Support the Onward Repairs project plan to deliver improvements in the quality and the efficiency of the services provided. Ensure key operational, financial targets and Gas Servicing KPI’s are achieved in line with the aims and objectives of the business. Directly manage productivity to ensure the effective use of all resources including supply chain.

Implement new streams of business or operational areas to offer maximum value for money. Responsible for implementing appropriate systems and controls that support the delivery of projects, continuous improvement and that risks are monitored and managed effectively.

Provide line management and leadership to a team, managing resources to ensure that objectives are achieved. Ensuring safe methods of working are adopted and that Gas Engineers are suitably qualified and trained to deliver the work required. Undertake effective quality control and quality assurance on works carried out, utilising work in progress inspections and post inspections.
