The successful Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager with the day to day running of the store.

Ensuring store staff are up to speed on new products and evaluating competition by visiting competing stores, you will look at new ways to attract customers and gather information such as style, quality, and prices of competitive merchandise.

Overall, you must maintain a welcoming, safe and clean store environment which demonstrates our full range of products and the quality of service that our customers have come to expect.

We are looking for an individual with previous management/supervisory experience in a busy retail environment, who is able to manage an inventory of products, anticipate demand and prepare sales and customer relations reports by analysing and categorising sales information.

The store is ideally located just a 10 minute walk away from York train station and is open Monday to Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week – over 5 days (including weekends)
