Section Chef

Selwyn is recruiting for a full-time Section Chef to join our busy Catering Department. This is a new position due to the growth in bar and catering provisions. The Section Chef will assist the Head Chef in consistently producing the highest possible standard of food for our students, staff, Fellows and conference guests.

Section Chef
Salary: £22,041 per annum.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Contract Type: Permanent, subject to six months’ probation

Under the direction of the Second Chef, the Section Chef will work with other Section Chefs to provide consistently high quality food and introduce innovative dishes to enhance the overall dining experience for our customers. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of food, and the ability to work to tight deadlines while providing excellent service at all times. If you have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and are the kind of person who jumps in to help to ensure service is never compromised, we would love to meet you.
