Due to maternity leave, we are looking for an Accounts Supervisor / Accounts Assistant to join us on a fixed term contract from 1st November 2019 to 31st January 2021. The role will be full time and based in our new offices located in Pynes Hill, Exeter.

Your Role

As the Accounts Supervisor / Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering a range of finance and accounting processes to support our continuing financial health.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will ensure that the financial records of the company are accurately maintained and assist in production of monthly and weekly reporting. You will be involved in all aspect of the company accounts and telephone based credit control activities.


Specifically, your role will involve:

- Processing bank transactions and completing bank reconciliations
- Managing the sales ledger including credit control
- Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Preparing a wide range of financial reports and analysis
- The management of general office supplies and staff business travel arrangements
- Managing company credit cards for senior staff
- HR inductions for new staff

About You

To be considered as an Account Supervisor / Accounts Assistant, you will need:

- At least three years’ experience within a similar accountancy role, ideally within a service business
- An AAT qualification (or equivalent experience) or be close to completing AAT or equivalent
- A good level of IT literacy and the ability to learn new IT systems quickly
- A proactive, helpful and self-motivated approach
- Excellent interpersonal, prioritisation and communication skills
- A great eye for detail.

Ideal candidates will have experience of Xero accounting software, but this is by no means essential.
