About us
The Chief Executive's Office is a small team that provides programme management and administrative support to the Chief Executive and Strategic Leadership Team. It is at the heart of the organisation and works closely with Directors and Mayor's Office to support the executive leadership of the organisation and its relationships with a range of stakeholders - including local councils, Local Enterprise Partnerships, and Central Government.

About the role
As Executive Support Officer you will provide support to the Head of the Chief Executive's Office and the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive. You will be responsible for assisting in the management coordination of diaries and schedules, ensuring that travel, briefings and other arrangements to support are in place. You will offer administrative support to the full range of functions undertaken by the Chief Executive Office, including support to meetings and events, managing correspondence, undertaking research and analysis, and preparation of presentations. You will be adept at developing and maintaining office systems and processes that enable efficient and effective management of diaries, correspondence and events.

To succeed in the role???
You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with senior officials, elected members, and a range of other senior stakeholders. An ability to write clear notes, correspondence and briefings is also required. Resilient, flexible, and well-organised, you will have the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining performance and work quality, and be able to respond readily to changing priorities and deadlines. Proficient in the use of office systems you will develop and maintain the processes and practice that effectively and efficiently manages our information and co-ordinates our activity.

We are committed to developing an organisation that is representative of the diverse communities that we serve and welcome applications from all sections of the community. The following groups are currently under-represented: young people, Black, Asian and ethnic minority groups and women at senior levels.

In return for your hard work and commitment, we will reward you with a range of competitive and attractive benefits.
