To deliver excellent customer service and carry out estate maintenance services to properties and the surrounding grounds.
Please note: We require a valid driving licence that must have been held for over 3 years.
1. Main Responsibilities & Duties
* To assist and deal with our customers (residents, property owners, developers) in a professional, courteous and friendly manner
* To undertake regular grounds maintenance - grass cutting, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, fence repairs, ground clearance, drain clearing and other labouring works as required
* To carry out internal communal area cleaning e.g. vacuuming, dusting and inspections
* To clean windows and gutters using a reach and wash cleaning system
* To undertake minor decorations e.g. preparation and repainting of areas
* To undertake minor repairs to the properties e.g. adjusting door closers, fixing noticeboards, securing stair treads
* Replace broken light bulbs
* To keep areas clean and tidy by litter picking and sweeping, and to disinfect bin stores
* To maintain the security and safety of the property through the appropriate care of any access cards and keys.
* To undertake any other duties which may arise e.g. updating signage
* To attend training courses in order to develop and maintain the required skill levels and carry out duties and responsibilities of the role
* To properly maintain and look after equipment, PPE, and clothing provided to carry out the role.
* To assist other colleagues when required, and to help identify and pass on new business opportunities for the Chamonix Group.
This is not an exhaustive list and from time to time the job holder will be expected to carry out other tasks within the general scope of the post.
Hours - Equivalent to an average 40 Hour week.
Typically, 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday (times may vary between Winter & Summer Months)
Experience required:
* Experience of grounds maintenance covering grass cutting, hedge cutting, shrub bed maintenance, weeding and litter control.
* Experience of using hand powered pedestrian and ride on mowers.
* Experience of using hand tools necessary for grounds & general maintenance work.
* Experience of minor decorations e.g. preparation and painting.
* Experience of minor repairs.
* Understanding of safe working practices and procedures as applied to the above.
* Understanding of Health & Safety at Work Act obligations on employer and employee as relevant to the above.
* Able to read and act on work instructions, appropriate safety guides and site specifications
