Classroom Assistant/ Learning Facilitator

Part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year). 
Hours: 8.45am to 4.15pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 3.45pm on Friday. Salary: £14,045.08 to £15,500.48 per annum (FTE £18,104 to £19,980 per annum).

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Classroom Assistant/Learning Facilitator to join the College’s Learning Support Department. The successful applicant will be required to work with staff and students on a variety of College courses to support student learning, as well as on a one-to-one or small group basis.

The post is available immediately on a permanent, part-time basis. Previous experience of working with teenagers is desirable, but not essential. The ability to feel confident in the presence of and communicating with young adults is essential. The role requires an appreciation of working within an educational context supporting learning. 

The post holder will be required to work with students with mild to complex learning needs. Whilst experience in this area is desirable, a basic appreciation is essential. Occasional evening work is required for which time off in lieu will be given.
