Contract Type: 29.6 hours per week, 32 weeks per year (Term Time Only) Fixed Term until 12 June 2020

We are currently recruiting for a Study Support Assistant in our Higher Education department to provide support to staff and learners in order that all Higher Education Students have access to the curriculum, achieve on their programme and fully participate in the life of the college. This post will support the personal and practical care, and academic needs of HE learners. The post reflects the changes made by the Government in the provision of Practical Support to Higher Education students. The support needs of Learners will be detailed on an Individual Learning Support Plan and the role of the Support Assistant is central in supporting the learner to fulfil their needs and outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have GCSE Maths and English Grade A-C or equivalent Level 2 (or be prepared to undertake qualifications within the first year of employment, evidence of previous work experience in learning support/coaching. You will be approachable, patient and flexible with excellent communication skills.
