Thurrock based school is looking to recruit a 1-1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work with Reception class students to ensure their education and care is at the highest standard. This role would be ideal for someone who is patient, resilient and passionate about Special Needs and EYFS.
Key job Responsibilities
* The chosen 1-1 SEND Teaching Assistant will be working with a child 1-1 with special needs.
* Experience working with mild learning difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) could be an advantage.
* Will be supporting learning and the individuals needs within a primary classroom.
* For this position someone with experience who can work alongside the teacher to assist with the child's needs.
* Building students confidence.
* Be able to effectively manage behaviour.
* You must be assertive and have a developed knowledge and understanding of the particular needs of the student.
* Be able to actively promote and assist safe learning.
* You will ensure all students can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills.
Person Specification:
* Qualified with a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification and/or SEN qualifications.
* Must have a good knowledge and understanding of special needs.
* Previous experience working with moderate to complex learning difficulties including Autism would be an advantage.
