Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services
My client is an award winning M&E Building Services consultancy who are seeking a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.
Amongst other sectors, they specialise in providing design solutions for Heritage and Historic buildings working both for a multitude of private sector clients and local authorities to bring Building Services up to latest standards in some of the most iconic historic buildings in the UK, including Royal Estates and Government buildings.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking detailed design for Mechanical services such as HVAC, Plant/Boiler rooms and Hot and cold water supply on a variety of refurbishment and replacement projects.
The successful candidate will:
??Be degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant major
??Ideally be Chartered (CEng) or working towards this
??Have a minimum of 3 years experience in Building Services Mechanical Design
??You MUST have experience of working within Historic/Listed Buildings
??Be competent in the use of Hevacomp calculation software
??Have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably Revit MEP.
??Have a clean UK driving license
