Yorkshire Cancer Research is entering an exciting period in its development. As part of this we are expanding our team at our Head Office and a number of new roles are being created. We are currently looking for an Events Assistant to support a range of events across Yorkshire that will drive revenue and convey our brand values.

The Role 

As Events Assistant, you will help to deliver a range of events across Yorkshire. Consistently conveying our brand values, you will use our tone of voice and visual identity across all events and communications. You will provide stewardship to event participants and fundraisers to grow our community of supporters and provide key assistance to income generation efforts to help achieve fundraising goals. 

You will: 

- Act as the event participant champion 
- Work to deliver first class information about events, the charity and how money raised will help more people survive cancer here in Yorkshire
- Help event participants and fundraisers set up online giving pages 
- Keep the events database up-to-date 
- Support the event planning process by considering participant information needs before, during and post-event 
- Work with the marketing team to ensure communications accurately reflect the brand identity 
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all event equipment

About You 

To join us as an Events Assistant, you will need: 

- Prior experience of helping to run an event, either when studying a relevant qualification, volunteering or being part of an events team 
- Experience of working in an administration, customer service or hospitality role 
- Proven experience of analysing straightforward data, identifying trends and writing reports for a business audience 
- At a minimum, A Levels or equivalent, preferably a degree in an events, business or marketing related discipline
