The Role

As Head of Housing you will:

  • Operationally lead their housing teams and continue to drive performance and a culture of service excellence. Working in partnership with the Director of Housing to deliver on a range of projects and objectives that truly will Improve Lives for their customers - in line with their Group business plan and wider Improving Lives Agenda
  • Manage a multi-functional team of Housing Service and Legal Enforcement Managers, you will lead, motivate and develop their skills empowering them to drive their services forward
  • Maintain close links with the Head of Income Services and Head of Property Services to ensure that there is a holistic approach across Housing Services to deliver the services that their customers want and that their business can sustain

This role had the option to be based at any of their main offices across the East and West Midlands.

 

About You

They are looking for a Head of Housing to ensure that they deliver their Housing Services strategy aligned to their Improving Lives Strategy 2025 and to continue the harmonisation journey to ensure their services are fully aligned and consistent across all their areas.

 

As Head of Housing you will:

  • Have experience of managing dispersed teams across a wide service area and can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate a real desire to work collaboratively across other directorates to deliver shared aims and objectives and the ability to constructively challenge to improve their services is a necessity.
  • Possess the ability to work closely with partners and effectively rollout new ways of working with a clear methodology are crucial for the success of the Strategy and their service area
