Salary £25,624 - £28,898 pro rata based on a salary assessment and relevant experience

We are now searching for an expert within Construction, Civil Engineering and Site Supervision to help support & assess our learners on our work based learning apprenticeship programmes.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have experience and competence within the construction industry and hold a professionally relevant qualification at Level 4 as a minimum.

As a work based assessor you will be required to assess the following assessment areas; Construction Building Design, Civil Engineering, Construction Contracting Operations and Site Supervision for candidates in the workplace. You will enrol students on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities.

Assessing candidate portfolios and presenting completed portfolios for internal verification, you will monitor the candidate's progress towards their qualification and give them constructive feedback, helping them to build a portfolio of evidence.

You need to be self-motivated, have good organisational skills and time management, including the ability to carry out administrative tasks to support the role. The expectation of the role is to manage your time around the learners and work in a flexible manner supporting different shift patterns.

With an outgoing and positive personality and strong team working skills, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards and have acceptable levels of Maths and Literacy, particularly verbal and numerical reasoning.

Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to own transport.

Those who have experience of liaising with managers in industry and commerce and who are confident working directly with external verifiers and awarding bodies will be of distinct advantage.

The ability to speak Welsh is highly desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant being offered the position will be requested to apply for a DBS Disclosure and to register with the Education Workforce Council.
